A muddy PG&E
It was Sunday, sunny and muddy. We've made it to the bench in x+42 minutes, and back in 50 minutes via Rogue Valley. x is a unknown scalar, denoting the time it took me before I realized that we are going to arrive to the top at no (zero) time unless I will press the watch's Start button. It's value believed to be around 10 minutes :-)We enjoied a good weather; cool but not freezing, sunny but not hot, and muddy, of course. Most of the mud was at the bottom of the PG&E trail, after the water tower junction going up the uphill section and the flat that follows it. The rest of PG&E is mostly in good condition. We also ran into mud on the way down, on High Meadows about half way to the junction with Upper Wildcat. Rogue Valley was in great condition. We do not have videos of sliding through the mud but we have some pictorial evidence of surviving it without diving head first.

Patrick and Dayle at the famous bench.
Dayle's orange slices have become a trademark.
Happy to be back at the parking lot. It was 9+ miles and a nice run.

It surly feel more muddy than it looks in this picture.

Look at those calves, and I'm not talking about my own! :)
We all know that CT is the king of defined calves, so there's a compliment in here somewhere. Arnon, what did you do with your calves? I don't see them in the "calf train" photo.
Take a look at my new, higher speed running strategy: wear RED! I'm not kidding. I read it in Runner's World. They suggested there is some psychological advantage.
