... it's now approx 1 day later and Sissie was right. It WAS long enough.
It was 8:40ish when we set out from the busy Rancho parking lot. We went out the right (~east) side of the park and met up with our usual path to Chamise (up top, near the pond).
From there it was UP, UP, UP to the first power pole. My watch (timing the whole time since the start) said 1:38 at this point. From here, we turned around and headed back same path. Accompanying diehards may be still up there. We never saw Craig and Todd again. Hmm. At the stretching posts, it was 11:51 and definitely time for brunch!
Wow wow wow, not just your standard recovery run, no sir.
